Requirements

Highly qualified, state certified educator (TX certification for Science)
Ability to deliver live and asynchronous instruction in an online virtual environment
Experience or ability to support, guide, and manage student learning based on individual needs
Skills in lesson grading, providing feedback, parent/student messaging, and interacting with local school representatives
Ability to work independently in a professional home office without distractions during workday (typically 8:00am-5:00pm or as defined by district needs)
Availability for full-time remote work, typically 40+ hours per week, 10 months following academic school year, with flexible scheduling and potential summer/weekend options
On-camera presentation and direct engagement with students
Schedules fluctuate based on student enrollments and business needs

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding, personalized, and effective learning experiences using rigorous curriculum, data-driven, and student-centered instructional model
Deliver specific Science course content in online virtual environment via live and asynchronous instruction
Facilitate student engagement with learning plans, encourage discussion, ensure progress toward goals, and develop rapport for shared accountability
Grade lessons, provide feedback, message parents/students, and interact with local school representatives
Work closely with students, parents/learning coaches to advance learning
Facilitate combination of: Flexible Virtual Learning (grading, messaging, live help/overview sessions); Enhanced Virtual Learning (daily scheduled sessions within school day); Targeted Skills Instruction (tutoring/small group interventions based on diagnostics); Special Education (instruction per IEPs); additional grading services and class coverage
Use award-winning digital curricula aligned to state standards
Maintain success metrics including student assessment data (passing/completion rates) and student satisfaction ratings
