Highly qualified, state certified educator
Ability to deliver specific course content (English Language Arts) in an online, virtual environment
Provide both live and asynchronous instruction
Support, guide, and manage the learning process focusing on students’ individual needs
Perform lesson grading, provide feedback, parent and student messaging, and interact with local school representatives
Work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance learning toward established goals
Facilitate student engagement, encourage discussion and clarity around subject matter, and ensure progress
Develop rapport with students and create a trusting environment for shared accountability
Facilitate some combination of: Flexible Virtual Learning, Enhanced Virtual Learning, Targeted Skills Instruction, Special Education (based on IEPs), standalone grading services, and class coverage
Full-time, remote position with flexible scheduling (typically 40+ hours per week, 10 months following academic school year; summer/weekend options possible)
Ability to work independently and maintain a professional home office without distraction (typically 8:00am-5:00pm or as defined by district/consumer needs)
On-camera presentation and direct engagement with students required

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding, personalized, and effective learning experience incorporating rigorous curriculum with data-driven, student-centered instructional model
Deliver live and asynchronous instruction using technology that assesses student mastery
Grade lessons, provide feedback, send parent/student messages, and interact with local school representatives
Work with students and parents/learning coaches to advance learning goals
Facilitate student engagement with their plan, encourage discussion/clarity on subject matter, and ensure progress
Develop rapport and trusting environment for accountability
Lead/facilitate sessions in Flexible Virtual Learning (grading, messaging, live help/overview), Enhanced Virtual Learning (daily scheduled sessions), Targeted Skills Instruction (tutoring/small group), Special Education (IEP-based), grading services, and class coverage
Meet success metrics including student assessment data (passing/completion rates) and student satisfaction ratings
