Requirements

RVT preferred but 2 years’ experience minimum necessary
Understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring
Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens
Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Understanding of normal vs abnormal physiologic ranges
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community
Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to deliver exceptional client service

Responsibilities

Assisting with echocardiograms
Performing specialized diagnostic procedures
Assisting in the application of holter monitoring equipment
Measuring blood pressure using Doppler
Documenting history and updates in medical records
Provide quality, compassionate care for your patients
Assist in anesthetic and sedated procedures
Maintain accurate treatment sheets & provide compassionate care for hospitalized patients
Take radiographs and obtain and prepare various blood samples for diagnostic testing
Provide client education on a wide range of at home care
Assist DVMs and LVT in all duties necessary
Perform Veterinary Assistant duties pursuant to LVVSC Protocols
