Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Automotive, Electric, IT, or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing automotive bus systems and working on vehicles (disassembling and assembling parts)
  • Experience with diverse automotive sensors, including GPS, cameras, and LiDAR
  • Experience with state-of-the-art automotive bus analyzing tools (e.g., Vector CANoe/CANalyzer)
  • Exposure to Matlab/Simulink tooling and Linux
  • Experience with sensor calibrations for autonomous driving platforms

Responsibilities

  • Debug and maintain autonomy systems integrated into base vehicle platforms
  • Triage reported in-vehicle issues related to sensors, vehicle ECUs, vehicle communication, data logging equipment, software, and more
  • Solve vehicle communication issues, design solutions, and raise incidents as necessary
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting (including disassembling vehicles) to determine root causes of reported issues
  • Serve as the “first responder” for vehicle issues
  • Raise suggestions for improvements to prevent recurring issues with the platform
