Requirements

  • Must be able to learn and perform every job in the Hatchery
  • Must be able to work in hot and dusty environments
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs. from ground level to a height of 6 ½ feet maximum repeatedly
  • Must be able to become pallet jack and forklift licensed within 10 days of bid
  • Must be able to obtain a Class E driver’s license within 10 days
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be able to work productively without direct supervision
  • Must be able to communicate with team members and management
  • Must abide by all departmental safety rules
  • Must abide by all biosecurity rules and not own a flock of poultry (unless Tyson flock)
  • Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days
  • Applicants that have worked at Tyson 3 times or more are not eligible for rehire
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Perform job duties including, but not limited to: egg setting, Embrex machine setup, Embrex vaccinator, tray wash, chick delivery, hatcher cleaning, chick coordinator, egg residue breakout, pallet jack and forklift operation, egg separation operation, facility clean up, egg set up, formaldehyde placement, and glycol replacement
  • Work normal schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 5:00 am to 3:30 pm (days and times subject to change)
  • Work most holidays
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • May be subject to rotation
