Bachelor's degree in Water Supply and Drainage engineering; Master's degree preferred
Registered Public Utility Engineer (Water Supply and Drainage) qualification
10+ years of work experience, including 3+ years in large/medium design institutes
7+ years of experience in conceptual design, schematic design, construction design, and construction coordination for commercial, office, industrial, and public buildings
Served as the Water Supply and Drainage professional lead for 3+ large projects
Theme park and resort development experience preferred
Familiarity with water supply and drainage design (tap water, softened water, direct drinking water, sewage, wastewater, rainwater); kitchen wastewater systems (e.g., oil separators); conventional water treatment systems (filtration, UV, ozone disinfection)
Familiarity with fire protection water system design (automatic sprinkler systems, water mist/curtain systems, gas suppression systems, indoor/outdoor hydrants, fire pump rooms)
Familiarity with buried pipeline design
Familiarity with common equipment and materials for each system; experience with US-funded projects preferred
Proficiency in Chinese and English versions of computer and internet software, including Office applications, CAD, BIM (3D modeling), and common water supply/drainage design and calculation software
Familiarity with Chinese national (GB) and local standards; knowledge of US fire codes (e.g., NFPA) and FM Global insurance design/product requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills in Chinese and English
Strong team collaboration and communication skills; ability to independently complete design projects
High safety awareness and sense of responsibility
Logical analysis skills applicable to engineering problem-solving
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and balance outputs
Ability to manage design institutes to meet drawing quality and schedule requirements
Comprehensive knowledge, practical experience, and domain-specific architectural engineering experience for high-difficulty projects
Familiarity with main water supply/drainage and fire protection system equipment/materials, their characteristics, applications, conventional construction processes, and forward-looking awareness of related technologies
Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and adapt to varying shifts
Responsibilities
Participate in internal and external architectural design planning
Research Chinese GB codes and local codes to ensure compliance with the latest standards
Provide concept design, optimization design, and subsequent design work based on project requirements
Compile presentation documents at different design phases
Collaborate with project teams to establish project budgets and schedules
Work with project teams on technical scopes throughout project design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover phases
Review design drawings, material samples, and construction documents at each project stage for compliance
Search archived construction and shop drawings across the park to support Engineering Services (maintenance) teams
Communicate timely with various Shanghai Disney Resort teams to understand project demand changes
Solve technical problems, propose architectural engineering solutions, assist project/construction managers with preliminary design issues, and review contractors'/suppliers' detailed designs
Provide architectural and engineering support for operational construction projects, new developments, and maintenance teams
Support theme park facility operations and area development, including assisting with testing/commissioning, identifying maintenance tools/equipment, writing safety/technical procedures, and researching drawings to resolve issues
