Requirements

  • Knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring systems), product specifications, seasonality, Point-of-Sale systems, phone, and in-person selling techniques
  • Ability to use Sam’s Garage, product knowledge, and reference materials
  • Proficiency with digital tools, handheld devices, and technology for sales planning, service experience, real-time decisions, and training
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with people, handle challenging situations with professionalism and empathy
  • Ability to operate hardware (e.g., cash registers), process purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges
  • Ability to operate TBC equipment properly and safely, including forklift and hazardous material handling
  • Compliance with company policies, procedures, steel standards, ethics, and integrity

Responsibilities

  • Maintain facility and sales floor safety by adhering to safety policies, conducting safety sweeps, following forklift/hazardous material procedures, and reporting unsafe situations
  • Organize, stock, zone, and merchandise TBC sales floor according to policies, handle claims/returns/shrink/damages
  • Stock merchandise, set up/clean/organize displays, remove damaged goods, sign/price merchandise, secure fragile/high-shrink items
  • Monitor tire/battery orders, assist with installation appointments, communicate lead times/cancellations, suggest alternatives, assist with tire maintenance/repairs
  • Provide expert member service: greet members, identify needs, assist purchasing/service decisions, resolve concerns, recommend products/warranties
  • Drive sales/service excellence by communicating value, collaborating with associates to promote TBC offerings
  • Triage/prioritize service workflow in bays using Sam’s Garage, manage queues, understand service times, re-prioritize appointments, recommend to Team Lead/Technicians
  • Leverage technology for operations/engagement, encourage team adoption of tools
  • Serve as brand advocate, model high-quality service, develop/influence/train team members, address roadblocks
  • Assist with purchasing/service decisions per policies, complete vehicle service requests/tests, receive/store/dispose merchandise/supplies, maintain documents
  • Process member purchases, payments, returns/refunds/exchanges using appropriate procedures
  • Complete work assignments/priorities using policies/data/resources, collaborate with managers/co-workers
