Requirements

  • Knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring systems), product specifications, seasonality, Point-of-Sale systems, phone, and in-person selling techniques
  • Ability to use Sam’s Garage, product knowledge, and reference materials
  • Proficiency with digital tools, handheld devices, and technology for sales planning, service experience, real-time decisions, and training
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively engage with people, including handling challenging situations with professionalism and empathy
  • Ability to operate hardware (e.g., cash registers), TBC equipment properly and safely, forklifts, and handle hazardous materials
  • Understanding of company policies, procedures, steel standards, ethics, integrity, Open Door Policy, and business processes

Responsibilities

  • Maintain facility and sales floor safety and standards by adhering to safety policies, conducting safety sweeps, following forklift and hazardous material handling, complying with steel standards, and reporting unsafe situations
  • Organize, stock, zone, and merchandise TBC sales floor according to policies, handle claims, returns, shrink, and damages
  • Present and maintain merchandise by stocking, setting up, cleaning, organizing displays, removing damaged goods, signing, pricing, and securing fragile/high-shrink items
  • Monitor tire and battery orders daily, assist with installation appointments, communicate lead time changes/cancellations, make alternative suggestions, and assist with tire maintenance/repair services
  • Provide expert member service by greeting members, identifying needs, assisting with purchases/services, resolving concerns, recommending products, explaining warranties, and ensuring best service/value
  • Drive sales and service excellence by communicating merchandise/services value and collaborating with associates to promote TBC offerings
  • Triage and prioritize service workflow in TBC bays using Sam’s Garage, manage queues, understand service times, prioritize appointments, re-prioritize members, and make recommendations to Team Lead/Technicians
  • Leverage technology for operations, engagement, sales planning, service improvement, real-time decisions, product info, training, and tool adoption
  • Serve as brand advocate, value member experience, model high-quality service/products, develop/influence team members, assist in training, and address roadblocks
  • Assist with purchasing/service decisions, complete vehicle service requests/tests, receive/store/dispose of merchandise/supplies, maintain documents
  • Process member purchases, payments, returns, refunds, exchanges using appropriate procedures for memberships/payment types
  • Comply with company policies/procedures/standards by implementing action plans and using Open Door Policy
  • Complete work assignments/priorities using policies, data, resources, and collaboration with managers/co-workers
