Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of business operations, safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery service standards, equipment operations, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems), tire recalls, product specifications, and seasonality
  • Expertise in leveraging digital tools, handheld technology, and new products/technologies for sales, service, and decision-making
  • Ability to supervise and train a team of hourly associates, including monitoring e-learnings, identifying potential, developing skills, and encouraging career growth
  • Proficiency in operational tasks such as inventory management, ordering supplies, staffing/scheduling, cash register operations, transaction processing, and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Strong communication skills to set goals, guidelines, expectations, and advocate for members, associates, and the company
  • Commitment to compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity standards
  • Ability to collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners to analyze information, monitor progress, and implement improvements

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Tire and Battery Center team to deliver on the business plan, execute company programs, and contribute to club success
  • Communicate department goals, set guidelines/expectations, and adhere to policies while advocating for members, associates, and the company
  • Maintain and share expertise in tire/battery services, train the team on processes, new products/technologies, and ensure they are equipped for their roles
  • Leverage digital tools and handheld technology for planning sales, improving service, elevating engagement, and making real-time decisions on services, safety, and products
  • Drive business results through operational excellence, maintain a neat/clean/safe work area, proactively plan/order supplies with expense controls, track returns/special orders, and support staffing/scheduling
  • Operate cash registers, process transactions, work hands-on in the physical area to support member service, and maintain accurate inventory, audits, safety/compliance, and documentation
  • Train/teach the team for effectiveness, monitor training completion, develop skills, encourage career growth, and source new talent internally/externally
  • Develop, communicate, and implement processes/practices to meet business needs by collaborating, analyzing data, monitoring results, and addressing improvements
  • Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity; use Open Door Policy and assist in correcting issues
  • Lead/participate in teams by sharing resources, determining needs/priorities, coordinating assignments, providing feedback/support, ensuring timelines/quality, and modeling adaptability to change
