Requirements

  • Provides pharmaceutical care to customers, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, counseling on health care and prescription medication needs, maintaining confidential information, and maintaining controlled medication and required documentation
  • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in pharmacy practices and applies it to develop, execute, and improve action plans, providing expert advice and guidance to others
  • Ability to build relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, identify business needs, determine and carry out necessary processes, monitor progress, and adapt to changes
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, ethics, integrity standards, Open Door Policy, and legal regulations (company, state, federal, Board of Pharmacy statutes)
  • Skills in analyzing reports, implementing loss prevention/safety controls, overseeing reviews, developing action plans, and providing direction on programs and initiatives
  • Ability to administer immunizations and other Walmart-developed programs in compliance with regulations
  • Ensures compliance with billing procedures, HIPAA, SOPs, and uses auditing to identify and improve issues
  • Promotes a culture of patient care safety, accuracy, reporting errors, and transparency

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to associates on information, best practices, customer service approaches, and techniques to resolve customer needs within company guidelines
  • Model, enforce, and provide direction on compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity in business plans and processes
  • Ensure compliance with company and legal policies by analyzing reports, monitoring controls, overseeing safety/quality reviews, and implementing action plans
  • Maintain confidential information, documentation, and records per company, state, and federal guidelines
  • Process and dispense prescription orders accurately, administer immunizations, and deliver comprehensive patient care
  • Create a culture of patient care safety and accuracy; communicate expectations; hold others accountable for SOPs, quality, and safety goals; ensure counseling on new therapies/items as required; analyze improvements; implement interventions for team knowledge and risk reduction; promote error reporting; write plans of action for root causes
  • Foster an environment for health care compliance execution; communicate, train, and guide associates on compliance initiatives and follow-up; implement and monitor priorities; ensure operational execution of billing, HIPAA, and SOPs; utilize auditing for improvements
