  • Proficiency in creating/processing work orders, assessing maintenance needs, identifying parts/solutions, selecting best solutions, and conducting repairs (e.g., brake systems like air anti-skid, ABS, disc brakes; replacing leaky wheel seals; dismounting/installing tires)
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with customers, suppliers, associates, and complete work orders, records, logs, and documentation per procedures
  • Knowledge of receiving fuel drops, conducting fuel sampling, monitoring safety compliance, handling fuel additives, tank levels, sample preparation/shipping, and paperwork

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements on all Walmart equipment (e.g., trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles) by creating/processing work orders, assessing needs, identifying parts/solutions, and executing repairs/replacements following company and DOT guidelines
  • Repair and replace components such as brake systems (air anti-skid, ABS, disc brakes), leaky wheel seals, and dismount/install tractor/trailer tires
  • Communicate with individuals/groups (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates) verbally and in writing, and complete work orders, records, logs, and documentation
  • Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling by monitoring drops for safety, following procedures for additives, monitoring tank levels, collecting/preparing/shipping samples, and completing paperwork
