Requirements

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in preventative maintenance or diesel mechanics, with a strong understanding of diesel equipment and DOT regulations. Experience repairing brake systems, wheel seals, and tractor/trailer tires is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

The Service Shop Preventative Maintenance Technician will perform basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment, including trailers, tractors, yard trucks, and shop equipment, following company guidelines and DOT requirements. They will also receive fuel drops, conduct fuel sampling, monitor tank levels, collect fuel samples, and complete associated paperwork. Furthermore, the technician will communicate with various stakeholders, create and process work orders, assess maintenance needs, and identify solutions while adhering to company policies and ethical standards.
