Requirements

  • Ability to perform basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment (e.g., trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles) following company and DOT guidelines
  • Proficiency in creating/processing work orders, assessing maintenance needs, identifying parts/solutions, selecting best solutions, and conducting repairs (e.g., brake systems like air anti-skid, ABS, disc brakes; replacing leaky wheel seals; dismounting/installing tires)
  • Strong communication skills verbally and in writing with customers, suppliers, associates; completing work orders, records, logs, and computer-based documents per procedures
  • Capability to receive fuel drops, conduct fuel sampling, monitor drops for safety/compliance, handle fuel additives, monitor tank levels, collect/prepare/ship samples, and complete paperwork

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements on all Walmart equipment (e.g., trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles) by creating/processing work orders, assessing needs, identifying parts/solutions, and executing repairs/replacements following company and DOT guidelines
  • Repair and replace components such as brake systems (air anti-skid, ABS, disc brakes), leaky wheel seals, and dismount/install tractor-trailer tires
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, associates verbally and in writing; complete work orders, records, logs, and other documents per procedures
  • Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling: monitor drops for safety/compliance, follow procedures for additives, monitor tank levels, collect/prepare/ship samples, complete paperwork
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity standards
  • Collaborate with teams, build relationships, mentor others, promote culture of belonging, model Walmart values, hold accountable, prioritize customers, drive improvements, and support change/adoption of new technologies/skills
