Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide Member service by acknowledging Members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products/services
  • Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, setting up, cleaning, organizing displays, removing damaged goods, signing/pricing merchandise, and securing fragile/high-shrink items
  • Maintain the Sales Floor in Produce area by handling claims/returns, zoning, arranging/organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink/damages per Company policies
  • Receive, stock, and organize merchandise in Produce area, complete paperwork/logs/documentation, and utilize equipment per procedures
  • Ensure facility safety by following standards/procedures (e.g., safety sweeps, forklift spotting, hazardous materials handling, steel guidelines) and reporting/correcting unsafe situations
  • Assist management in supervising Associates by assigning duties, communicating goals/feedback, teaching compliance, supporting Open Door Policy, and participating in recruiting/hiring/scheduling/promoting/coaching/evaluating
  • Follow policies for preparing/handling/packaging/labeling/storing food, operating/sanitizing equipment, stocking/displaying products, and maintaining/cleaning Fresh Department
  • Maintain Produce Department presentation by assisting Members, inspecting merchandise for freshness/cleanliness, reworking/removing damaged items
  • Clean Produce area (e.g., windows, mirrors, display cases, coolers) using approved procedures/chemicals/supplies/tools
  • Perform audits, complete reports by counting merchandise, researching variances/discrepancies, identifying shrink/overages, and adjusting inventory counts
