Requirements

  • Compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for assigned areas

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical care, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders under Pharmacist direction

  • Understanding of chemical composition, structure, properties of substances, potential chemical interactions, and side effects of prescribed medications
  • Accurate dictation, communication, and interpretation of written prescriptions to/from physicians
  • Maintenance of confidentiality of information, documentation, and records per Company policies and guidelines
  • Customer service skills: acknowledging customers, identifying needs, assisting with purchases, locating merchandise, resolving issues, promoting products/services, maintaining safe environment
  • Operation of equipment like cash registers for processing purchases with various payment types
  • Receiving, stocking, organizing, and maintaining pharmacy area/merchandise/supplies per Company procedures
  • Handling claims, returns, zoning, arranging merchandise, identifying shrink/damages, ensuring safe work environment
  • Merchandise presentation: stocking/rotating, removing damaged/out-of-date goods, setting up/cleaning/organizing displays, signing/pricing, securing fragile/high-shrink items

Responsibilities

  • Provide pharmaceutical care to customers by processing/dispensing prescriptions under Pharmacist direction, counseling on medications, maintaining confidentiality and controlled procedures

  • Maintain merchandise presentation: stock/rotate, remove damaged goods, set up displays, sign/price, secure items
