Requirements

  • Ability to operate forklift following company standards and guidelines safely
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and standards for inventory management, equipment use, merchandising, safety, sanitation, food safety, and ethics
  • Capability to conduct safety sweeps, follow forklift spotting and hazardous materials procedures, and report unsafe situations
  • Skills in using self-service technology and assisting members with purchasing decisions
  • Familiarity with handling inventory exceptions, correcting shelf capacities, and completing required paperwork, logs, and documentation

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift to safely pick up, move, place, and position merchandise pallets
  • Receive, stock, and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, managing inventory flow
  • Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, offering guidance on self-service technology, assisting with purchases, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products/services
  • Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting and hazardous materials procedures, adhering to steel standard guidelines, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations
  • Maintain sales floor and merchandising presentation by zoning areas, stocking/rotating merchandise, removing damaged/out-of-date goods, setting up/cleaning/organizing displays, maintaining modular integrity, receiving/sorting/staging/delivering merchandise, ensuring prominent promotional/seasonal displays, processing defective merchandise, and monitoring shrink/security/safety
  • Assist with filling club pick up orders by picking, staging products according to policy, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, and performing occasional audits
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity standards using action plans and Open Door Policy
  • Complete work assignments by using policies/data/resources, collaborating with others, identifying priorities/deadlines, carrying out tasks, communicating progress, recommending improvements, and adapting to change/feedback
