- Certified Pharmacy Technician (implied by job title)
- Knowledge of pharmacy processing procedures, inventory control, and pill cell performance
- Familiarity with local, state, federal laws, corporate policies, Medicare, and Medicaid policies and procedures
- Ability to read and translate prescriptions into system codes
- Skills in troubleshooting systems issues, coordinating with IT, insurance companies, and pharmacists
- Understanding of third-party insurance claims, reject codes, and reprocessing procedures
- Ability to handle hazardous waste, recalled/expired pharmaceuticals, and returns

Responsibilities
- Maintain quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory (e.g., pharmaceuticals, supplies) through adherence to control procedures, auditing, testing pill cell performance, managing database, troubleshooting, discarding hazardous waste, processing recalls/expired stock
- Enter prescription data into pharmacy software by reading prescriptions, translating information, transcribing data (e.g., drug name, strength, directions, prescriber details), creating/modifying patient records
- Promote pharmacy's reputation and deliver services in compliance with laws/policies by assisting pharmacist in fulfillment, stocking/rotating merchandise, handling claims/returns, maintaining documentation, ensuring safe/clean environment
- Comply with Medicare/Medicaid by implementing rules, staying updated on changes, researching/processing orders accurately, documenting audits
- Fulfill prescriptions in Home Delivery/Specialty pharmacy by selecting products/quantities, verifying size/strength, counting/measuring/mixing medications, entering expiration/lot numbers, labeling, packaging, distributing
- Monitor/resolve prescription fulfillment problems (e.g., systems, insurance, stock issues) by determining root causes, coordinating resolutions, reprocessing claims, alerting patients, escalating to pharmacist/IT
