  • Proficiency in Manufacturing Execution System (MES) issues related to assigned processes
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., automated component attach operations, robotic and machine visual systems, wirebond, manual assembly, inspection, test, and probe)
  • Ability to apply existing work methods to different known situations and handle recurring, routine problems
  • Compliance with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments
  • Positive and cooperative communication and collaboration skills with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors

Responsibilities

  • Provides instructional training and assessment/certification support for multiple processes (e.g., automated component attach operations, robotic and machine visual system, wirebond, manual assembly, inspection, test, and probe)
  • Supports the development and administration of various training programs, e.g., production-related modules
  • Contacts attendees and department representatives about training programs, schedules appropriate classrooms, and prepares physical setups (e.g., New Hire Orientation, Continuous Improvement training, conducting limited classroom training)
  • Partners with Engineering personnel to develop process yield improvement plans
  • Performs regular process audits of personnel, tooling, and equipment in assigned areas; inspects batteries and dispositions per required documentation; generates audit action items and participates in preventative and corrective actions
  • Participates in the development or improvement of process work instructions (e.g., Manufacturing Operation (MO), Engineering Specification (ES), Process Aid (PA)) and training modules (e.g., guides and assessments) with Training, Quality, and Engineering
  • Reviews and recommends procedural changes to applicable specifications; communicates Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Temporary Alert changes to production; generates ECOs as requested
  • Maintains required records, assures operator compliance, and compiles/organizes data to support continuous improvement plans for process areas and individual work cells
  • Participates in debugging new automated assembly programs, tooling, and new products with Engineering personnel
  • Provides concurrent training to process trainees on MES issues
  • Performs direct manufacturing operations in support of build schedules as needed
  • Sets up/utilizes special test equipment
  • Notifies department manager of needs to replenish supplies/materials and of difficulties that cannot be readily corrected
  • Resolves/facilitates resolution of problems, including identifying causes to prevent re-occurrence
  • Supports Company initiatives in Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements
