Requirements

  • Experience in the Japanese market
  • Deep understanding of equities trading within the Japanese market
  • Japanese and English language skills
  • Experience collaborating and supporting multiple Portfolio Managers
  • Knowledge around broker-sponsored algorithms, broker cash desks, dark pools, and DMA facilities
  • Fluency with trading technology, execution management systems, and order management systems
  • Commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards
  • Knowledge around the structure of the major Asian equity markets
  • Deep curiosity, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain best practice execution on all trades and ensure the desk is always providing best execution service to Portfolio Managers
  • Proactively collaborate with Portfolio Managers on market color, portfolio performance summaries, and trading ideas
  • Understand day-to-day risk, regulatory, and compliance issues associated with all execution matters in Japan
  • Understand Ops & Technology issues associated with the Asia Trading desk
  • Manage broker relationships and provide feedback to all execution counterparties
  • Manage communication and trading needs of US and European PMs with Japanese market
