Requirements

  • Relevant Degree in Commerce, Business or Accounting (ideal for recent graduates) or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • High level of Excel skills
  • High computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end trade spend process
  • Monitor outstanding claims and ensure timely validation
  • Proactively review monthly accruals
  • Conduct financial variance analysis (actuals versus forecast) and prepare insightful commentary on overspend and key trends
  • Perform monthly Net Sales reconciliation between Trade Spend Management with SAP, TSM accrual and Rebates Payable
  • Actively monitor the trade claims report and participate with internal and external stakeholders in accounts receivable collection and deduction resolution
  • Validate customers on invoice and off invoice claims against approved Sales Agreement and agreed Promotional Tracker to ensure authorized promotional spending
  • Support Sales Finance Partner and National Business Managers in investigation and variance analysis
  • Assist on Audits and Finance management monitoring tasks
  • Assist Sales channel head with slides preparation and other ad hoc projects as requested by Sales Channel head and Sales Finance Manager
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Identify opportunities, risks, and issues along with their financial implications, propose solutions, and contribute to their implementation
  • Drive continuous improvement in promotional spend analysis, decision-making, and business processes
