  • Bilingual preferred
  • Complete continuing education and maintain state licensing for states which require a license

Responsibilities

  • Investigating, evaluating, and negotiating claims to reach a fair and equitable settlement
  • Negotiating settlement of claims with insureds, claimants, and attorneys while following established, authorized settlement authority
  • Using compassionate communication and persuasive negotiation to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Reviewing claim details, coverage limits, the estimate, and all associated charges to confirm Total Loss Evaluation
  • Handling all claims within the guidelines of the states’ Fair Claims Practices Acts and other Regulations
  • Acting as specialist in knowledge of Salvage and Title laws of various states to facilitate legal transfer of title and claim resolution
  • Communicating with Lien Holders, Body shops, tow facilities, and other vendors to secure information needed to bring claim to a conclusion
  • Controlling associated claims for Rental/Loss of Use and storage
  • Ensuring timeliness and KPIs are being met
  • Working closely with MD appraisers to ensure accurate and timely evaluations
  • Ensuring claim files are properly documented and all documents are attached
  • Requesting documents needed to process titles and salvage of vehicles
  • Monitoring Copart website for receipt of title documents
  • Maintaining an up-to-date diary
  • Identifying subrogation and SIU opportunities and following Company procedures to notify appropriate company personnel
  • Ensuring compliance with Hallmark Best Practices
  • Adjusting reserves to accurately reflect the exposure
  • Issuing payments to the appropriate parties
  • Making and maintaining a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needs; exhibiting empathy and proactively following up
  • Researching and responding to a variety of customer communications, concerns, or issues ranging from simple to complex
  • Documenting the claim file with notes, evaluations, and decision-making process
  • Attend and participate in team meetings
  • Attending and successfully completing all assigned training in a timely manner
