Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Forklift license
  • Basic computer proficiency, including data entry into manufacturing software systems and functional knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees

Responsibilities

  • Know and follow general company, corporate, and department policies and procedures
  • Receive, store, and issue tools, machine tool fixtures, dies, measuring devices, materials, equipment, and other items
  • Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other devices for asset movement
  • Maintain accurate records of tools issued to employees/departments; take periodic inventory and requisition stock as needed
  • Use computer databases to enter transactions, validate information, and maintain accurate asset accountability
  • Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment; requisition stock to replenish inventory
  • Clean, oil, inspect, and perform minor repairs on equipment; dispose of surplus or obsolete equipment per established procedures
  • Ensure measuring devices are periodically calibrated
  • Assist other departments with movement and/or delivery of company assets as requested
  • Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well with co-workers, and follow work rules and procedures
  • Perform other various duties as needed or assigned
