Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control checks on title examinations
  • Review title evidence package, verify information against product requirements and adherence to service level agreements
  • Identify trends and report information to management (approximately 50-60% of time)
  • Perform title search and examination of the chain of title for a broad geographic region for vacation ownership properties
  • Search, examine and prepare ownership and encumbrance reports, commitments/ preliminary title reports, volume-based search worksheets, foreclosure date downs and foreclosure product(s)
  • Understand, review, and insert requirements related to power of attorneys, bankruptcies, and life estates related to real property conveyances following procedures
  • Abstract records, such as easements, restrictions, and encumbrances to determine ownership and legal restrictions and verify legal description of property and completeness of records
  • Review declarations to prepare an inventory listing of the possible interest combinations in the project for inventory tracking
  • Identify issues such as missing information, incomplete, inaccurate, or contradictory information contained in title documentation
  • Other duties as assigned
