Requirements

Candidates must have native proficiency in German (both spoken and written), and proficient written and spoken English. They must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, due to the need for constant communication with clients and teams outside of Quebec. Candidates must reside in the Montreal region, be available to work remotely or in the office as required by projects, and hold Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, a work permit, or be in the process of obtaining one. They must be able to multitask effectively while managing their time, be comfortable with digital technologies (computers, video game consoles, touchscreens), and demonstrate an interest in the video game industry. Previous experience in a relevant field or with video games is a plus, as is experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

The Testeurs linguistiques de jeux vidéo allemand will be responsible for correcting texts and game video content (spelling, grammar, typography), verifying the consistency of texts and proposing changes where necessary, writing error reports, performing minor and simple translations, and checking that subtitles match the audio tracks. They will also be responsible for communicating effectively with clients and teams outside of Quebec, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and adapting to the demands of multiple tasks while managing their time effectively.
