Job Description: Video Game Localization Reviewer

Position Overview

• Location Type: On-site
• Job Type: Other (Contract/Part-time)
• Salary: $18.80/h (Bonus of +$2.50/h after 19:00)

Keywords Studios is seeking native speakers of various languages to join our video game localization reviewer team! Candidates who successfully complete the selection process will join our candidate bank and be contacted when a suitable job opportunity arises.

Responsibilities

• Correcting texts and game content (spelling, grammar, typography)
• Verifying the consistency of texts and suggesting changes where necessary
• Writing error reports
• Performing minor and simple translations
• Verifying that subtitles match the audio tracks

Requirements

• Language Proficiency:

  • Native proficiency in one of the following languages (spoken and written):
    • Croatian
    • Czech
    • Danish
    • Dutch
    • Spanish (European)
    • Finnish
    • German
    • Greek
    • Hebrew
    • Hungarian
    • Indonesian
    • Korean
    • Malay
    • Norwegian
    • Polish
    • Romanian
    • Swedish
    • Thai
    • Turkish
    • Vietnamese
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) – Required for communicating effectively with clients and teams outside of Quebec.

• Location & Work Eligibility:

  • Residency in the Montreal area
  • Availability to work from home or in the office as required by the project
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, possess a work permit, a vacation permit, or be in the process of applying for a work permit

• Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to multitask effectively while managing time efficiently
  • Comfortable with digital technologies (computers, video game consoles, touchscreens)
  • Interest in the video game industry
  • Experience in a relevant field or related to video games (an asset)
  • Experience in a similar role (an asset)
