Requirements

Experience in performance and emissions calibration for large diesel engines
Knowledge of model-based control and calibration strategies
Ability to lead and serve as Process Owner for performance systems processes (e.g., L4 Performance Systems Processes)
Expertise in data analysis, measurement capabilities, and industry-standard methods for testing and failure investigations
Proficiency in root cause analysis and defect resolution
Familiarity with FMEAs, VDRAs, Design Reviews, and technical risk mitigation
Strong communication skills for reports, reviews, presentations, and global team collaboration
Senior-level engineering experience in diesel engine development, capable of leading key activities and coordinating with cross-functional teams (Engine Development, Systems, Research, Component, Electronics)

Responsibilities

Lead performance and emissions calibration for large diesel engines (4000/5000 series)
Drive development and implementation of calibration processes for Diesel product MGPP, including model-based control and calibration strategies
Serve as Process Owner for L4 Performance Systems Processes
Lead initiatives to define and optimize end-to-end calibration processes
Identify and implement improvements in data analysis and measurement capabilities for L4 Development and GED teams
Evaluate and integrate L4 to L5 system interactions, including feed-forward control and interface enhancements
Manage and execute test plans, data analysis, and failure investigations
Establish and maintain L4 performance tracking databases
Support root cause analysis and resolution of technical issues
Collaborate with design teams through FMEAs, VDRAs, and Design Reviews
Demonstrate product capability against technical and product objectives, identifying and mitigating risks
Coordinate daily engineering activities and ensure alignment with project goals
Communicate technical findings and recommendations through reports, reviews, and presentations
Work across global teams to promote knowledge sharing and alignment with product development standards
