Requirements

  • Currently working towards a B.S., M.S., Ph.D., or advanced degree in a relevant engineering program
  • Must be returning to school to continue your education upon completing this internship
  • Good academic standing
  • Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June of 2026
  • At least one previous industry internship, co-op, or project completed in a relevant area
  • Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California for the duration of the internship
  • Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development of extensive test plans (Autonomy Systems Test team)
  • Develop standardized simulated test design tooling processes to execute many different scenarios (Autonomy Systems Test team)
  • Put together triage pipelines for analyzing issues seen during offline and on-vehicle testing (Autonomy Systems Test team)
  • Work on developer efficiency projects in the software test execution, kickoff, maintenance, and reporting processes (Autonomy Systems Test team)
  • Improve the tooling of Teleplan testing systems (Autonomy Systems Test team)
  • Develop and prototype LLM-powered automation workflows which can be embedded into the QA Engineering processes to increase efficiency and automation (AI system integration for automation team)
  • Build, test, and deploy automation solutions using modern AI technologies (AI system integration for automation team)
  • Prototype and scale to production agent-based workflows integrating LLMs and Tool APIs into current application (AI system integration for automation team)
  • Build scalable integration automation frameworks and enhance existing frameworks for automated testing across full stack of tools and vehicle software (Product Software Quality Assurance team)
  • Design and implement component and integration automation infrastructure, utilizing the latest in AI technology and machine learning paired with vehicle simulations (Product Software Quality Assurance team)
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts (Product Software Quality Assurance team)
  • Prioritize automation for repetitive tasks, develop robust regression suites, and focus on edge cases and high-stress scenarios (Product Software Quality Assurance team)
