Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of new equipment specification, technical negotiation with vendors, design and documentation review, tool installation, qualification testing and documentation
  • Ensure projects are on schedule and delivered with highest quality by proactively identifying and correcting capability, reliability, and maintenance issues early
  • Generate accurate and detailed documentation for facility, maintenance, stores, and process owners
  • Lead or actively participate in continuous improvement programs to improve equipment performance and reliability, maximize MTBF and AOU, and minimize MTTR
  • Provide accurate and detailed documentation as well as training in basic and advanced maintenance, troubleshooting skills, best maintenance practices, and safe practices
  • Practice gage R&R on critical equipment and consumable related measurements
  • Monitor and follow through on continuous improvement opportunities across all shifts
  • Review and evaluate tool and spare parts related inputs from maintenance organizations, provide timely responses, proposed timelines, and sound actions for improvements
  • Respond to scrapped wafers due to equipment or maintenance related incidents; review, analyze, investigate, provide root cause analysis, and timely effective corrective actions
  • Define and regularly review minimum (reorder) and maximum spares quantities on critical and long lead items to ensure correct inventory levels
  • Work with stores and vendors to ensure incoming parts meet form, fit, functional, and other quality requirements
  • Work closely with Process Engineering, Maintenance, vendors, and other teams to define, improve, and monitor equipment reliability, throughput, and process capability
  • Define, deploy, monitor, and improve Preventive Maintenance specifications, EDCSPC on tool parameters, bill of material, and spare parts requirements
  • Serve as in-house technical equipment expert to efficiently and effectively resolve down-tool escalations
