Requirements

NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or other equivalent engineering disciplines
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in production operations, GMP/GDP-regulated manufacturing, or related industries
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Experience working in a cleanroom environment is an advantage
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
Ability to perform physical activities repeatedly: push rolling carts weighing 300KG, perform inspection of lenses under increased lighting and magnification, perform GxP cleaning and production end waste disposal, transfer magazines between transfer carts (3.05KG per magazine, average 100 to 200 per shift)

Responsibilities

Operate manufacturing equipment to produce and/or package contact lenses
Operate autoclave to sterilize contact lenses
Ensure contact lenses are manufactured to the best quality level possible
Perform activities in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a controlled and regulated environment
Ensure compliance with Data Integrity (attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original, and accurate)
Perform production activities at various stages in a cleanroom environment and work as a team with cross-functional members to achieve production targets in compliance with GMP, quality, and safety requirements
Maintain the quality standard of contact lens manufacturing
Meet the yield, equipment performance, and uptime of assigned LTs
Perform IPC (in-process checks) such as Visual Lens Inspection and Operator Packaging check
Schedule contact lenses to be sterilized within 12 hours
Perform simple machine setups (e.g., ink change)
Support maintenance activities and troubleshoot machine issues
Maintain 5S in the production floor
Participate in Kaizen projects for continuous improvement in manufacturing performance
