Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks
- Electrical diagnosis of starting & charging systems
- Air conditioning & heating component identification & inspection
- Wheel end assembly component identification & inspection
- Air system component identification & inspection
- Air brakes component identification & inspection
- Hydraulics component identification and inspection
- Truck preventative maintenance
- Complete 9 weeks of company-paid training at Republic Services Technical Institute in Dallas, Texas
- Complete 22 months of on-the-job training (OJT) with mentorship and virtual instructor-led technical content
- Achieve milestones for Apprentice certification as an entry-level Diesel Mechanic, potentially advancing to Level C Technician
