  • Enrolled in a Coop Program as a Coop Student
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Agile concepts (e.g., sprints, backlogs, user stories)
  • Basic understanding of systems engineering or system modeling
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively
  • Attention to detail and a willingness to learn new tools and processes
  • Able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods program (CGP)

Responsibilities

  • Support Agile Product Development: Help maintain and prioritize Jira backlogs, manage Epics, and refine user stories and acceptance criteria that describe system behaviors such as orbital coverage, user throughput, and gateway capacity
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Participate in Agile ceremonies - stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives - to track progress, identify blockers, and support delivery. Work closely with engineering leads to translate technical modeling needs into actionable backlog items
  • Enhance Team Visibility & Coordination: Assist in managing Jira dashboards and Confluence documentation to improve transparency and alignment across modeling teams (e.g., space segment, ground segment, user terminals)
  • Communicate Insights: Help prepare visual artifacts and reports that convey modeling results and system performance insights to engineering and program leadership
