5+ years in utility-scale BESS or industrial power systems
Hands-on experience with lithium-ion systems ≥10 MWh, including PCS, BMS, EMS, and SCADA integration
Proficiency in power system modeling tools (PSSE, PSCAD, ETAP) and control programming (Python, MATLAB, IEC 61850)
Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects under aggressive timelines
Willingness to be on-site in Memphis for commissioning and critical operations

Responsibilities

Lead electrical, mechanical, and thermal integration of Megapack-based BESS with on-site substations, inverters, and AI compute loads
Develop control strategies and firmware logic for dynamic load balancing, peak shaving, and frequency regulation tailored to AI training power profiles
Perform capacity modeling, cycle-life forecasting, and degradation analysis using field telemetry and digital-twin simulations
Commission systems, validate nameplate performance, and implement predictive maintenance protocols to minimize downtime
Collaborate with Tesla Energy teams on custom firmware, hardware revisions, and supply-chain scaling for xAI-specific duty cycles
Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE 1547, and local grid interconnection requirements; author interconnection studies and reliability reports
Drive root-cause investigations for any energy anomalies and implement corrective actions across the fleet
