Requirements

  • Basic experience in Engineering/Technology & Systems Engineering (knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
  • Good interpersonal skills (may be required to lead a junior team)
  • For customer-facing roles: ability to develop strong customer relationships and serve as the interface between customer and GE; ability to explain technical information to others
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (Desired)
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs (Desired)

Responsibilities

  • Conducts component and product integration (activities spanning multiple components and products for maximum performance and operability)
  • Manages product and systems requirements, specifications, and flow down
  • Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system-level testing
  • Defines product requirements for module/component/subcontractors and partner teams
  • Manages interfaces between components and execution organizations
  • Drives CTQ/Risk trades within teams designing the components
  • Manages the overall product configuration and configuration control system
  • Broadens knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy (may include support roles with specialized technical knowledge)
  • Uses basic understanding of key business drivers to accomplish own work; understands how own team's work integrates with other teams
  • Makes decisions with some autonomy within a defined framework; resolves issues requiring good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures (consults senior team members as needed)
