Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, in progress or completed
  • Previous experience participating in and coaching within freestyle/freeski at a state/local event
  • Previous experience maintaining venues in accordance with criteria set by US Ski & Snowboard and/or USASA
  • US Ski & Snowboard and/or USASA membership
  • Knowledge and understanding of US Ski & Snowboard and/or USASA rules and regulations
  • Familiar with event travel and prepared to travel as needed
  • Current Safesport, CPR and First Aid, and CDC Heads Up Concussion certifications
  • Additional industry certifications or endorsements preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with parents and athletes
  • Ability to make quick, effective decisions for safe and best-practice coaching

Responsibilities

  • Execute a comprehensive in-season programming plan put forth by the Program Manager
  • Recognize industry trends and advancements and incorporate into seasonal goals and daily training plans
  • Maintain positive dynamic communication plan to inform constituents of training schedules, updates, event details, opportunities, policies, and philosophies
  • Understand and uphold concepts for growth opportunity and program improvements, including expanded programming, camps, and social activities
  • Maintain excellent guest and employee rapport and ensure highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Develop strategies to expand insight into customers and maintain strong relationships
  • Attend daily meetings as required and step in as backup for daily operations
  • Maintain appropriate asset protection and inventory control
  • Prepare venues as needed for training and competitions
  • Supervise training venues to ensure safety and that only authorized individuals are within boundaries
  • Participate on working groups pertaining to the program
  • Maintain the highest safety standards and code compliance for guests and staff
  • Provide on-hill management of athletes
  • Assist with building and maintaining training and event venues
  • Additional duties as assigned
