Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years’ experience
  • Successful completion of welding tests and qualifications
  • Relevant experience working in Energy and/or Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals instrumentation and/or process control
  • Experience in SVI 2 assembly line and additional lines as legacy instrumentation
  • Good mechanical background

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates efforts to perform assembly from components per assembly drawings/bill of material based on process instructions for Smart Valves Interface systems 2 (SVI), including instrumentation legacy line for positioners as valve interface
  • Oversees functional testing on assemblies, using electronic/pneumatic equipment
  • Responds to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment
  • Uses forklifts and other departmental equipment, machines, hand tools and power tools needed for assembly
  • Ensures test assemblies per customer and/or division criteria
  • Operates test equipment in compliance with engineering standards
  • Monitors and applies settings, calibrates and maintains assembly tools
  • Provides technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer's sites
  • Leads others in work efforts
