Requirements

5+ years of experience as a software engineer
Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems, proficient in Python or Kotlin
Familiarity with building blocks of distributed systems and technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
Mastery in taking a simple problem or business scenario into a solution interacting with multiple software components, writing clear, easily understood, well-tested, and extensible code
Comfort navigating a large codebase, debugging others' code, and providing feedback through code reviews
Demonstrated ownership of personal growth, proactively seeking feedback from team, manager, and stakeholders
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with global engineering team
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

Break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in multiple phases, and collaborate to ensure timely delivery
Support peers and stakeholders in product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design, and analytics; participate in ideation, articulate technical constraints, and partner on decisions considering risks and trade-offs
Contribute to the entire API lifecycle, including designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and evolving APIs
Support operations and availability of team artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and handling “keep the lights on” and on-call efforts
Contribute to team community by engaging in growth and development activities, such as participating in the interview process
