Adheres to USV/FMCNA Compliance Program, regulatory requirements, USV/FMS policies and procedures, state and federal regulations
Works under direct supervision of Facility Manager or Chief Radiology Technologist
Maintains sterile technique during procedures
Complies with HIPAA policies and standards for patient confidentiality
Practices within scope of practice and state regulations for tasks like preparing/administering medications
Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), data collection, auditing, regulatory/accreditation surveys
Handles physical demands of the role (implied by physical demands description)

Responsibilities

Assists with maintenance and setup of procedure room per policies, regulations
Stocks procedure room, trays with supplies and equipment prior to procedures
Cleans procedure room, equipment, and machinery post-procedure
Prepares patient for procedures (positioning, shaving, prepping)
Performs tasks as designated by Physician in compliance with regulations
Prepares and administers medications per scope and regulations
Performs patient transfers, positioning, and transports to/from procedure room
Acts as scrub assistant during interventional procedures under fluoroscopy, maintaining sterile technique
Draws up and labels intravenous medications per policy
Performs circulating duties in procedure room
Maintains environmental integrity, cleanliness, safety; inspects equipment daily
Performs minor equipment repairs, upkeep; communicates/documents issues
Assists with disposal of hazardous waste, dirty linen, rugs
Assists with instrument sterilization and packaging
Prepares, organizes, utilizes supplies/equipment to prevent wastage
Supports quality standards, implements quality goals/action plans
Maintains integrity of medical/administrative records
Provides clerical/practical support: ensures instruments/equipment availability, prints/sends images, files paperwork, assists with inventory/ordering/re-stocking
Processes/archives x-ray images per policies/regulations
Assists with training/orienting new employees
Other duties as assigned
