Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supply chain planning, demand planning, or supply planning role, preferably within the medical device or healthcare industry
  • Proven experience with demand forecasting techniques and tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for planning and inventory management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of S&OP processes and best practices is highly desirable
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for medical equipment, spare parts, and services using historical data, market trends, and input from sales and marketing teams
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance to gather insights and refine demand forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Translate demand forecasts into actionable supply plans, considering production capacity, lead times, and supplier capabilities
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages or excesses, and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize obsolescence
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability and efficient inbound/outbound logistics
  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings, presenting demand and supply plans, and collaborating on strategic decisions
  • Manage and optimize planning parameters within the ERP system (e.g., safety stock, reorder points, lead times)
  • Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, such as supplier disruptions or material shortages
  • Prepare regular reports on demand forecasts, supply plans, inventory performance, and key supply chain metrics
