Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site assessments and technical assessments at potential and new suppliers as determined by commodity management
  • Onboard new suppliers within assigned commodities to ensure they understand Allegion’s production expectations
  • Support/lead the creation, modification, implementation, and execution of supplier-related quality processes across Allegion’s global supply base and Americas business units
  • Collaborate with suppliers, commodity management, procurement, sustaining and NPD engineering, and operations to establish, implement, and maintain strategic supplier quality activities aligned to business objectives and customer expectations
  • Ensure quality KPIs are improved/maintained, support commodity management’s strategic initiatives, and foster solid working relationships between suppliers and Allegion’s manufacturing locations and business teams
  • Support Allegion NPD programs by using tools and processes (e.g., NPD project playbook, Characteristics Review Process, PPAP, traceability, safe launch) to drive quality into parts and products, collaborating with plant quality and NPD team functions for successful, on-time launches
  • Conduct on-site and technical assessments in support of new sourcing to evaluate supplier process capability to meet customer requirements
  • Independently operate at supplier locations to drive supplier improvement/development and cooperatively work with stakeholders
  • Own ongoing supplier performance and development for suppliers within assigned commodities
  • Create strong working relationships with suppliers, Allegion commodity managers, engineers, and plant teams to resolve issues quickly with minimal production impact and support strategic supply chain vision
