Requirements

Ability to read design requirement specifications/drawings (understanding shapes, dimensions, tolerances, materials, surface treatments, etc.)
Basic measurement knowledge (ability to use tools like calipers, micrometers to identify defects)
Basic industrial/manufacturing knowledge (knowledge of processes like sheet metal, machining, molding)
PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint for document creation, data aggregation/analysis; Outlook for emails; MS-Teams for online meetings)
English: Reading/writing and basic listening (able to roughly understand emails/meetings, no aversion to English; for communication with overseas suppliers and Beckman Coulter sites)
Japanese: Fluent or higher level in reading/writing and speaking (for internal documents/regulations and supplier communication)
Strong communication skills for collaboration with team, internal departments, and suppliers
Leadership, teamwork, and ability to smoothly advance projects
Self-motivation to execute own goals/tasks
Ability to organize information/data, make objective judgments based on facts, and solve problems

Responsibilities

Analyze quality trends and data, formulate and execute quality improvement actions
Handle internal responses for defect occurrences, defect processing (system registration), contact suppliers, investigate causes, and implement countermeasures
Conduct quality evaluations for new supplier adoptions or supplier changes (on-site audits, process checks, etc.; involves domestic and international travel)
Lead evaluation of 5M changes within suppliers (understand content, form internal evaluation teams, hold meetings, create evaluation reports)
