Responsibilities
Plant Accounting Oversight: Responsible for the accounting for one or more manufacturing plants, including complete ownership of the P&L, Manufacturing Statement, and Balance Sheet accounts
Financial Reporting: Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate and timely reporting of financials (month-end, quarter-end, and annual close)
Variance Analysis: Analyze variances in balance sheet accounts and income/expense reports; identify issues and drive corrective action
Inventory Management: Analyze inventory change P&L accounts, identify manufacturing variances, and report on unusual spending
Reporting: Prepare and distribute daily, monthly, and quarterly reports, including monthly reporting packages with variance analysis
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with preparation of monthly forecasts and annual operating expense and capital budgets
Capital Expenditure (AFE) Review: Review AFE's for compliance, financial integrity, and accuracy; supervise the tracking of the AFE through the approval process
Fixed Asset Management: Ensure accuracy of fixed assets and assist with periodic verification (count)
Collaboration: Interface daily with Operations Managers and production staff; interact with Corporate Headquarters functions (Accounting, Supply Chain & Logistics, IT)
