Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent qualification, along with a minimum of six years of experience in live visual effects on major feature films. They should demonstrate strong technical and leadership skills, experience in directing, mentoring, and training large teams, exceptional artistic and organizational abilities, including the capacity to prioritize tasks and missions, and clear verbal and written communication skills. Practical knowledge of the technical and artistic aspects of real-action and visual effects, as well as a deep understanding of CG pipelines is required, and experience with 3ds Max is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

The CG Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the show within the facility, ensuring clear communication with the 3D team and timely delivery from 3D departments, while also collaborating with other service chiefs on strategies, workflows, and methodologies to continuously improve processes. They work directly with the leadership team and other VFX Supervisors to determine and advise technical solutions, ensuring work quality meets high standards, and managing the shot workflow, continuity of shots and grains, and quality control measures. The role involves verifying individual artist work, evaluating quality and efficiency, providing feedback, and escalating issues as needed, alongside coaching team members, conducting performance evaluations, and acting as a key technical expert on projects and within the facility. They will also evaluate the quality, resolve problems, and escalate if necessary, and are expected to embrace positive direction, work effectively within a team, and thrive under tight deadlines, with a desire to learn Flowline (the company's proprietary software).
