Requirements

  • Preferred field(s) of study: Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program; recent graduates are also encouraged to apply
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for the mission of NYCEDC
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated experience in using database and presentation tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
  • Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM and complete the entirety of the 10-week program

Responsibilities

  • Configure, install, and troubleshoot network scanners and printers
  • Provide support to users in all remote offices
  • Research various technical problems and provide solutions to end-users and departmental staff
  • Monitor Helpdesk calls and email messages and prioritize requests according to importance. Make sure all Helpdesk inquiries are answered in a timely fashion
  • Provide basic support for hardware, software, and network access
  • Track record of all hardware and software inventory
  • Learn about Networking, Vlans, Audio/Video systems, Imaging, configuring hardware and supporting software
  • Build data dictionary, assist in data analysis, & support master data management
  • Help with data cleansing using SQL Queries & Excel tools
  • Help with building library of system & process artifacts using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Miro, etc
