Requirements

Preferred field(s) of study: Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program; recent graduates are also encouraged to apply
Demonstrated enthusiasm for the mission of NYCEDC
Demonstrated written, verbal, and analytical skills
Demonstrated experience in using database and presentation tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams
Ability to work full-time, Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM and complete the entirety of the 10-week program

Responsibilities

Configure, install, and troubleshoot network scanners and printers
Provide support to users in all remote offices
Research various technical problems and provide solutions to end-users and departmental staff
Monitor Helpdesk calls and email messages and prioritize requests according to importance. Make sure all Helpdesk inquiries are answered in a timely fashion
Provide basic support for hardware, software, and network access
Track record of all hardware and software inventory
Learn about Networking, Vlans, Audio/Video systems, Imaging, configuring hardware and supporting software
Build data dictionary, assist in data analysis, & support master data management
Help with data cleansing using SQL Queries & Excel tools
Help with building library of system & process artifacts using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Miro, etc
