Requirements
- Preferred field(s) of study: Public Policy, Economic Development, Urban Planning, and/or sector-specific programs are a plus, or related field
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program; recent graduates are also encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for the mission of NYCEDC
- Demonstrated written, verbal, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated experience in using database and presentation tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
- Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams
- Ability to work full-time, Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM and complete the entirety of the 10-week program
Responsibilities
- Assist the Tech and Creative team in all aspects of the project management lifecycle, including strategic analysis, financial analysis, contract and procurement planning and management, partnership development, and project implementation
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research and analysis on tech and creative industries as well as emerging trends in NYC and globally, including stakeholder interviews as necessary
- Create presentations and memoranda that effectively communicate research findings, project insights, and/or project recommendations to multiple audiences
- Help project teams plan, coordinate, and execute strategic events
- Other duties as assigned
