Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Architecture, or Civil Engineering
1-2 years of Structural Steel Detailing experience preferred
Proficiency in SDS/2, TEKLA, and AutoCAD software
Knowledge of steel frame drafting codes for Canada and USA
Strong technical skills in steel frame design and detailing
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Team Leader to capture and detail structural members using SDS/2 and TEKLA software, adhering to plans, specifications, and technical directives
Detect and report anomalies in plans and specifications to the project Team Leader
Prepare work for other detailers and provide technical assistance within the scope of competence
Ensure all framing and details are prepared according to drafting standards and procedures
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including identifying causes of non-compliance and implementing corrective actions
Contribute to the development of ongoing tools and work methods improvement plans
