Requirements

  • Interface effectively between Product Development and Global Operations / Supplier Management
  • Expertise in supplier strategy, selection, negotiation, and competitive quoting to achieve ICV/variance targets
  • Proficiency in SSR/PSSD standards (capability, Total Landed Cost, PRA, SPMC, Part-to-Print)
  • Ability to partner with Engineering and Category teams on DtV/should-cost analysis, design tradeoffs, and platform simplification
  • Knowledge of SQD/PQP, supplier technical reviews, process capability/PPAP, and launch quality/OTD requirements
  • Familiarity with NPI operating mechanics, program plans, material readiness, and factory fulfillment
  • Compliance with GEHC QMS/Purchasing Controls and Delegation of Authority (DOA) for contracts, LTBs, and variances
  • Skills in obsolescence/EOL mitigation, supply risk management, lifetime buys, and Installed Base continuity
  • Experience resolving supplier quality issues (SCARs, DPPM) and executing manufacturing transfers

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute segment supplier strategy (strategic/dual-source/localization), run competitive quoting/negotiations, and secure ICV/variance targets at each gate
  • Lead Supplier Selection Review (SSR) tollgates (A/B) to secure leadership approval of nominations
  • Partner with Engineering and Category teams on DtV/should-cost analysis, design tradeoffs, platform simplification; maintain ICV allocation/tracking for new/carryover parts
  • Coordinate SQD/PQP inputs, lead supplier technical reviews, verify process capability/PPAP for launch quality/OTD
  • Drive material readiness and factory fulfillment with Production/Materials per NPI mechanics and program plan
  • Operate within GEHC QMS/Purchasing Controls, obtain DOA approvals for supplier contracts, LTBs, variances (M0–M9)
  • Own obsolescence/EOL and supply risk mitigation (M5–M9): alternate components, dual-sourcing, lifetime buys; ensure IB continuity, cost productivity, service parts readiness
  • Partner with IB/Product Engineering and SQD to resolve quality issues (SCARs, DPPM) and execute compliant manufacturing transfers
