Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years of experience in a commercially-oriented account management or sales role within the employee benefits space, along with deep knowledge of health plan design and benefits, including experience advising employer clients on benefits strategy and cost performance. Experience working with clients to design and implement level- and self-funded medical plans is required.

Responsibilities

The Strategic Accounts Director will be responsible for retaining and upselling clients who are launching on Garner’s newest employee benefit offering, collaborating with the General Manager of Health Plan Products to ensure a positive client experience and achieve expected results. They will establish and manage key strategic broker and client relationships, become a trusted strategic partner on plan design and cost trends, work with clients to resolve strategic problems, monitor client health, execute strategic plans, collaborate with internal teams to deliver value, and drive improved net revenue retention and other KPIs for their book of business. The role also involves up to 25% travel.
