This role focuses on retaining and upselling clients launching on Garner’s newest employee benefit offering, collaborating with the General Manager of Health Plan Products to ensure a positive client experience and achieve desired results. The Strategic Accounts Director will be a client’s trusted strategic partner, driving improved Net Revenue Retention and other KPIs. This position reports to the General Manager of Health Plan Products.

Requirements

  • Deep health plan design and benefits knowledge: Including experience working with employer clients on benefits strategy and cost performance.
  • Experience with level- and self-funded medical plans: Specifically, designing and implementing these plans.
  • 7+ years of experience: In a commercially-oriented account management or sales role within the employee benefits space.
  • Commercial Focus: Demonstrated desire to be measured and competitive.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding and Advising Clients: Work with the General Manager of Health Plan Products to onboard and advise clients on Garner’s newest product.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and manage strategic broker and client relationships.
  • Strategic Partnership: Become the client’s trusted strategic partner on plan design, cost trends, and plan performance.
  • Problem Solving: Work with clients to resolve strategic problems and ensure Garner delivers value.
  • Client Health Monitoring: Monitor overall client health and execute strategic plans to proactively address risks.
  • Value Demonstration: Collaborate with product, data, and technology teams to deliver customized reports and presentations demonstrating ROI.
  • KPI Improvement: Drive improved net revenue retention and other key performance indicators (KPIs) for the book of business.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
