Interest in retail leadership and developing skills for an Executive Team Leader (Assistant Store Manager) role
Ability to commit to a paid 40 hr/week hands-on training program

Responsibilities

Work closely with managers and team members to understand Target’s retail business and excel in a management role
Lead amongst the team, identify and work towards store priorities, and deliver great guest service
Drive guest experience and impact store’s financial, team, and operational performance
Work alongside a mentor, learn effective department leadership, and step into leading mentor's departments with guidance
Lead and motivate a team, drive sales results, merchandise products, and provide exceptional guest experiences
Participate in ongoing developmental conversations and support execution of daily operations
Spend time on the store salesfloor and backroom leading team members and aligning on daily business priorities
Build and manage a guest-first team culture across the store
Engage guests, problem-solve, and resolve issues
Learn retail business fundamentals
Set and plan department monthly/quarterly workload to support business priorities and manage team to deliver service and sales goals
Manage a team of hourly team members and team leaders, create business strategies and goals
Handle recruiting, selecting, and talent management of hourly team members and leaders
