Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
  • Use basic math accurately (add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, fractions, decimals)
  • Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
  • Safe driving and navigation ability
  • Ability to use delivery board system
  • Ability to locate and stock parts
  • Safety knowledge and skills
  • Operating inventory systems (back stock) and store equipment
  • Physical ability to walk/stand predominantly; talk/hear; use hands/fingers; reach; climb/balance; stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl; lift/move up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally with assistance; specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, depth perception, adjust focus)
  • Automotive parts experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Pick, stage, and safely deliver parts to pro customers
  • Pick up returns and cores
  • Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
  • Daily collection of credit accounts
  • Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
  • Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
  • Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
  • General stocking including truck stocking, back stock, and cycle counts
  • Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
  • Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
  • Other duties as assigned
