Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a CPA or Chartered Accountant designation strongly preferred. A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience is required, including over 2 years in financial reporting and technical accounting roles, and public accounting experience is preferred. The role requires a strong understanding of IFRS and U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 718, and proficiency with ERP systems like NetSuite, equity management platforms such as Carta or Shareworks, and reporting tools including Workiva, DFIN, FloQast, or Blackline. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with a detail-oriented approach, high accuracy, a professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

The Statutory Accounting Manager will serve as a subject matter expert on statutory accounting principles and evolving regulatory requirements, leading the preparation and review of statutory financial statements for international entities to ensure local GAAP compliance. This role involves coordinating with external auditors and global service providers for timely statutory audits, and collaborating with Tax and Legal teams to support global compliance and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities also include driving standardization and automation of statutory reporting processes, overseeing the end-to-end accounting for equity transactions (RSUs, stock options, ESPPs, performance awards) in accordance with ASC 718, managing monthly and quarterly stock-based compensation close processes, and collaborating with Legal, HR, and Payroll teams for accurate recording and reporting of equity compensation.
